All books vary slightly, plus or minus 2 to 3 mm, due to fabric, canvas and other differences in thicknesses and materials used in construction.
My Classic journals & diaries are made with 80lb paper, waxed linen thread, & fabrics that are interesting and different. I use the French Link and Kettle Stitches to sew the pages together before encasing them with fabric covered, acid free, archival quality book board.
